Darica Potts, LMSW

Darica is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut with a focus on Urban Issues in Social Work. Before graduating from UConn, Mrs. Potts earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Western Connecticut State University. Mrs. Potts has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults being treated for ADHD, depression, anxiety, stress management, trauma, substance use and sexual abuse. 

Mrs. Potts' skill set includes work in the child protection service field, as well as therapeutic individual and group therapy. Mrs. Potts has collaborated with community providers and systems such as the judicial courts, various school districts, and numerous community providers in the surrounding area. 

Mrs. Potts utilizes a variety of clinical techniques such as CBT, holistic strength-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered techniques to collaborate with clients and ensure they are appropriately navigating their treatment. 

Mrs. Pott's excels in relationship building, being culturally informed, meeting clients where they're at, and validating, advocating and supporting clients during their treatment process. These methods have proven to be successful and support and nurture a safe, therapeutic setting in order for progress to occur giving the opportunity for growth and healing to begin naturally.
