Melissa Schleier, LCSW

Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for advocacy and social justice. She earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Melissa has several years of professional experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a multitude of settings including schools, in-home, mobile crisis, outpatient, private practice and medical settings.

Melissa is experienced in working with a range of clinical needs such as depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, ODD, struggles with aging, life transitions/changes, grief and loss, parent coaching, relationship and family conflict, and substance use. She provides brief interventions and treatment including CBT, DBT, EMDR Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy depending on a client's individual needs.

Melissa is committed to helping others using a holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach. She prioritizes providing a warm, compassionate environment and strives to help clients find their strengths, feel empowered, advocate for themselves when needed and progress in various ways throughout their lives.
