Michael Espelin, APRN, PMHNP

Michael is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who earned his Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. He supports clients' mental health medication management needs using a patient-centered, evidence-based approach that emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and effective treatment. Michael specializes in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, insomnia, OCD, and bipolar disorders. Please note that Michael does not treat clients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders, psychosis, or dissociative identity disorder.

Michael emphasizes education so clients feel empowered and understand why a medication may be necessary, what the medication is, and its purpose. He is a strong ally to marginalized communities and strives to promote inclusivity and improve access to psychiatric services.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, art, and advocating for social justice issues.
